Bowl, Egyptian pottery, clay vessel — deep, cup-shaped bowl with a slightly convex bottom and sides arching upwards; straight rim, flat on top, flaring. Made of Nile clay NB1, according to the Vienna System. Covered with a layer of engobe with added red ochre and thoroughly polished. Vessel color: red. Well-preserved, with slight damage to the clay on the rim. Comparative parallels cited with early dynastic and Old Kingdom examples including IV–VI dynasties and late VI dynasty contexts. Likely Old Kingdom date ca. 2686–2181 BC. Place of origin: Edfu. Dimensions: height 13.8 cm; rim diameter 28.8 cm; bottom diameter 11.9 cm., A terracotta vessel with a flared rim and narrow base is shown against a plain gray background; the vessel is reddish-brown with patches of lighter discoloration and surface wear, small darker spots, and subtle texture variations on its curved sides.
