Vessel, Medium-sized clay jug with a biconical body, widest at about half its height. Wide shoulders, nearly cylindrical neck that widens toward the spout; neck height about one-third of total. Profiled, irregular spout slightly raised and extended on one side forming a small spout; spout nearly triangular in cross-section with an approx. 1 mm cylindrical bulge on the outer profile. Bottom almost flat with slight rounding. Made of Nile clay NB1? per Vienna System. Neck possibly made separately and attached to shoulders. Outer surface smoothed, covered with engobe and polished; inner surface smoothed, neck also with engobe and polished. Reddish-brown color. Quite well preserved; rim slightly chipped in two places and outer engobe worn in spots. Dated c. 2345–c. 2181 BC, Old Kingdom, 6th Dynasty, from Edfu.
