Handle attaches slightly above the vessel’s widest diameter and extends about 1 cm above the spout line; circular in cross-section below, slightly flattened above. Slightly convex bottom. Made of Nile clay; exterior and rim/neck interior coated with a thick red slip; overall red-brown color. Complete and fairly well preserved; slip worn in places. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC.
