Vessel, unknown creator; ceramics, Egyptian clay vessel with ovoid belly, widest about halfway up. Wide, short, almost cylindrical neck; rounded, slightly tapering rim; rounded bottom. Made of Nile clay in two parts joined about one-third of the vessel's height. Surface even; beige color; complete. Comparative material: type V–XI,7 and XV–XVI Reisner, ca. 2686–2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu; vessel height 35.5 cm, rim diameter 10.2 cm, body diameter 22.2 cm., A single large rounded jar with a narrow rim and bulbous body fills the image, showing a textured surface in shades of beige, tan, light brown, and muted gray, with darker speckles and subtle variations in tone across its weathered exterior.
