Bowl. Large conical clay vessel with rounded bottom and straight, slightly tapering spout. Widest about 4/5 of the height, walls narrowing toward center. Just below the rim two parallel horizontal shallow lines. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Surface leveled and covered with red engobe; overall dark red color. Reconstructed from original fragments with losses including significant rim fragments filled with plaster. Possibly end of ST.P beginning of 1st OP. Attributed references: F. Petrie, Medum, pl. Vessel height 21.4 cm; rim dia. 28.5 cm; shoulder dia. 30.5 cm., A large round object with a rough, mottled surface fills the image; the object shows a range of earthy browns, reddish-browns, and tan patches with a few darker brown spots and subtle lighter beige areas, and it sits against a smooth light gray background.
