Vessel, Vessel with an almost spherical belly, widest about 1/3 of the vessel's height. Sloping shoulders. Neck poorly defined – very short and wide. Rounded, slightly flaring rim. Rounded bottom. Made of Nile clay NB. Surface smooth; outer surface finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. A rather indistinct cord impression around the widest diameter of the belly. Colour light red. Chipped rim and traces of salting in places over the entire surface. Comparative typology: similar to types II–III Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC, provenance Edfu. Dimensions: height 24.9 cm; rim diameter 10.3 cm; body diameter 24.2 cm., A large round clay vessel with a narrow neck and a slightly flared rim, shown against a plain gray background; the vessel has a rough, weathered surface with visible pitting and texture, and an overall color palette of earthy browns and muted reds with patches of pale beige and hints of gray and rusty orange.
