Jug, Egyptian pottery, clay vessel, cylindrical with flaring neck, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu; height 18.6 cm, rim diameter 8.5 cm, body diameter 15.8 cm, bottom diameter 9.1 cm., A single terracotta vessel with a wide rounded shoulder narrowing to a slightly flared neck sits against a plain gray background; the pot shows an unglazed, matte surface in warm brown and reddish-brown tones with a few darker flecks and small surface irregularities, and the gray background appears uniform and neutral.
