Medum-type bowl, Egyptian ceramics, Medum-type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom. Straight rim, slightly flaring. Narrow, very sloping shoulders—almost vertical. The diameter of the rim is larger than the diameter of the shoulders of the vessel. Clay probably NB. The surface of the vessel is leveled and covered with a layer of engobe, then polished. Vessel color: red. Vessel complete, very well preserved. Comparative material: Junker, Giza I, pl. I,2,16, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom late Old Kingdom. Provenance: Edfu. Vessel height 7.5 cm; diameter rim 25.8 cm; diameter shoulders 25.2 cm., A shallow, rounded bowl with a wide rim is shown against a plain gray background; the bowl has an overall reddish-brown terracotta color with areas of lighter brown and faint grayish-white discoloration, a slightly rough surface texture with visible scuffs and small pits, a gently curved profile tapering to a rounded base, and the rim appears slightly thicker and smoother than the body.
