Medum-type bowl, Egyptian ceramics, Medum-type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom. Straight rim, slightly flaring. Narrow, very sloping shoulders—almost vertical. The diameter of the rim is larger than the diameter of the shoulders of the vessel. Clay probably NB. Surface leveled and covered with a layer of engobe, then polished. Vessel color red. Vessel complete, very well preserved. Comparative material: Junker, Giza I, pl. I,2,16, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom late Old Kingdom, Edfu; vessel height 7.5 cm, diameter 25.8 cm rim, diameter 25.2 cm shoulders., A shallow, rounded bowl with a wide rim is centered against a plain light gray background; the bowl has a smooth terracotta surface in shades of reddish-brown and muted orange with lighter scuff marks and darker spots, a gently flared lip, and a worn, slightly uneven finish visible across its curved exterior.
