Vessel with hieratic inscription, Egyptian pottery, clay vessel, hand-made and turned in the upper part neck, spout. Conical shape tapering toward the bottom, irregular, widest at approx. 3/4 of the height; narrow, slightly sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; rounded, slightly flaring spout; pointed bottom. Smooth surface, light red color. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on the lower part of the belly. Quite well preserved — rim slightly damaged. Comparative parallels cited; earlier dated to the 4th–5th Dynasty; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Dimensions: height 15.7 cm; rim diameter 5.7 cm; belly diameter 8.5 cm., A single weathered clay vessel with a rounded body tapering to a pointed base, shown against a plain light gray background; the vessel's surface is rough and pitted with visible tool marks and small indentations, and its rim is slightly flared and uneven. The overall color is a warm earthy brown with patches of darker brown and muted gray, and there are a few darker speckles and smudges across the surface. The vessel appears worn with some small chips and abrasions, and subtle variations in texture and tone run around its curved form.
