Bowl. Shallow bowl of rounded, asymmetrical shape with a rounded, flaring, irregular rim. Surface is level. Lower half of the bowl was finished with a knife or similar tool. Slightly above mid-height, a horizontal line—likely from placement on a stand—is visible. Color: dark red. Vessel complete. Made in a local Edfu workshop. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC. Height 7.2 cm; rim diameter 26.2 cm., A shallow, curved clay bowl with a rough, textured surface is shown against a plain gray background; the bowl is predominantly reddish-brown with variations of tan and darker brown speckles, and it has a slightly raised, rounded rim and visible marks and small pits across its exterior.
