Jug with biconical belly, widest at mid-height; broad, gently sloping shoulders; wide neck slightly widening toward a profiled, irregular spout that is slightly raised and extended on one side forming a small secondary spout. Spout nearly triangular in cross-section with a ~1 mm indentation at the center of the outer profile. Bottom very slightly rounded. Height of neck about one-third of total vessel height. Made of Nile clay NB1? — Vienna System. Neck formed separately and joined; join traces erased. Outer surface smoothed, covered with engobe and polished; inner surface smoothed except for the neck, which is also engobed and polished. Reddish-brown color. Good preservation; rim slightly chipped in two places and engobe worn off in places on the outer surface. Local workshop: Edfu. Comparative typology: parallels to Old Kingdom types ca. 2686–2181 BCE., A worn terracotta vessel with a rounded body that tapers toward a narrower base and a short, slightly flared neck; the surface shows rough texture with patches of lighter residue and small pits, chips, and scratches. The visible colors are terracotta orange, muted reddish-brown, and lighter grayish-white areas on a neutral gray background.
