Stamp seal with figural representations. Glyptic stamp seal in the form of a truncated pyramid on a square base, terminated with a round handle. The four side walls and the base are decorated with engraved, stylized figurative representations. Two opposite sides depict a rider on a horse; one of the other sides depicts a striding figure holding a staff topped with a star; the opposite wall depicts an animal being attacked by a bird of prey. A winged animal is engraved on the seal's base. Iron Age, 9th–6th century BC. Northwestern Syria; Near East. Seal. Height 2.8 cm; width 1.3 cm; depth 1.4 cm. Impression carrier dimensions: length 8.5 cm; width 4.4 cm., A small carved object with a glossy dark surface, predominantly black with a few tiny lighter flecks, shown against a white background. The object has a wider base tapering upward to a narrower top with a scalloped edge. The front face features shallow carved lines forming abstract shapes or figures, including curved and angular incisions. The surface shows subtle irregularities and worn areas with a slightly smoother sheen on raised portions and a few small spots of lighter coloration where the dark finish is thin.
