The weight of the body rests on the left leg; the right is slightly moved back, the foot bent at the toes. The body is nude, correctly modeled, with clearly defined abdominal muscles. In the left hand the figure holds a trident; the right hand is lowered at the side of the body, holding a cylindrical object at hip level. The head is slightly bowed. The face is framed by long hair and a beard. 1st century, Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Bronze figurine; height 8.7 cm, width 3.5 cm, depth 1.8 cm, weight 0.362 kg with base., A small bronze figurine with a greenish patina stands on a tall dark green marble plinth; the figure is shown from the back holding a long thin trident in one hand, with a rounded head and stylized hair, and a weathered surface; the plinth has lighter veining and a small patch of lighter material, and rests on a stepped black base; the background is a pale neutral gray-beige.
