Female idol, Female idol with arms marked as appendages. On a long cylindrical neck is a nose and an upward-curved strand of hair with a diadem. The robe, breasts, and hair are rendered with a varnish line. 6th century BC formerly dated 7th century BC. Boeotia. Terracotta figurine; height 16.7 cm, width 7.6 cm, depth 3 cm, weight 0.15 kg., A tall slender carved object standing upright against a plain background, with a flared base and a slightly rounded top that transitions into a curled spiral element on one side; the surface shows irregular, wavy painted motifs running along its length and areas of worn, uneven texture. The visible colors include beige, light tan, reddish-brown, and muted gray, with patches where the original surface appears faded or chipped. The form has a protruding small ledge-like feature about midway up and subtle vertical ridges and indentations along its shaft, with the spiral detail showing concentric curves and a rough, weathered finish.
