Ushabti - fragment. Mummy-shaped figurine fragment of the legs preserved from hips to ankles; the back rests on a pillar. Inscribed hieroglyphs in ten horizontal bands around the legs, separated by thin lines. Function: ushabti; grave good. Materials: probably faience/stone not specified. Date: 332–30 BC, Ptolemaic Period. Place of discovery: Tell Atrib. Dimensions: height 8.5 cm, width 3.8 cm., A narrow, elongated stone object with a rounded top and bottom is shown against a plain gray background; the stone is light beige to sandy in color with areas of pale greenish discoloration, and its surface features several carved rectangular panels and shallow relief shapes arranged in vertical rows, with some edges chipped and worn, giving an overall weathered, pitted texture.
