Horse figurine, unknown Cypriot workshop. Schematic horse figurine. Plastically modeled muzzle, strongly rounded at the tip. Eyes marked with convexities. Mane attached. Neck strongly elongated in relation to the rest of the body, flattened at the rear edge, imitating a mane. Body narrow in relation to the neck, cylindrical. Front legs spread out to the sides, also cylindrical. Hind legs designed as a single unit in the form of a cylinder. Traces of polychrome visible on the surface: muzzle and mane reddish-brown, eyes highlighted in black. Traces of black paint also visible on the neck and chest of the animal. 750–600 BC previously dated 6th century BC; Cypro-Archaic II, Cyprus, terracotta figurine, height 10.8 cm, width 7.8 cm., A weathered clay sculpture of an animal-like form stands against a plain gray background, showing a tall vertical body with a horizontal limb at the base creating an L-shaped silhouette; the surface is rough and pitted with irregular texture and small holes, and the top has rounded protrusions resembling a head and snout with a knobby profile. The object displays earthy tones of beige and light brown with patches of darker brown and subtle reddish spots, along with areas of grayish discoloration. The piece casts a faint shadow on the flat surface beneath it.
