Canteen, Cyprus. Cypriot ceramics, White Painted I . Vessel decorated with concentric circles. Spherical, slightly flattened body width one side 8.5 cm, other 7.3 cm with two vertical cylindrical handles and a narrow neck; slightly flaring spout reconstructed. Pinkish clay with creamy engobe and black-brown decoration. On the handles: horizontal lines framed by thick lines connected at the neck at the attachment point, intersecting below the handles. Both flattened sides decorated identically with two sets of concentric circles four lines each: two narrow lines framed by wider lines. Outer line of outer band overlaps the neck and slightly extends over the handle mounts, widening there. Center of the inner band filled with a Maltese cross motif. Good condition: reconstructed spout and upper half of neck; limescale deposits removed. Numerous abrasions, especially on neck and handle mounts. Dated 1050–950 BC Cypriot Geometric Period I, Cyprus, vessel., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck and flared mouth, featuring a pair of looped handles connecting the neck to the shoulder; the vessel is primarily beige with dark brown painted bands and circular motifs, including a dark brown ringed medallion with a segmented star-like shape on the body, and the handles and neck showing worn dark brown paint and striping against the beige background.
