Canteen, Cyprus. Cypriot ceramics, White Painted I . Canteen decorated with concentric circles. Vessel with a spherical, slightly flattened body width on one side 8.5 cm, on the other 7.3 cm, two vertical cylindrical handles and a narrow neck. Slightly flaring spout reconstructed. Pinkish clay with creamy engobe and black-brown decoration. On the handles: horizontal lines framed by thick lines that connect at the neck at the attachment point and intersect below the handles. The two flattened sides of the body are decorated identically with two sets of concentric circles composed of four lines each: two narrow lines framed on both sides by wider lines. The outer line of the outer band overlaps the neck and slightly extends over the handle mounts, widening there. The center of the inner band is filled with a Maltese cross motif. Good condition: reconstructed spout and upper half of the neck. Limescale deposits have been removed. Numerous abrasions, especially on the neck and handle mount...
