Vessel base, Funnel-shaped vessel base, narrowest at about 2/3 of the height. Both rims are oval in cross-section, slightly upturned. The upper rim has a slightly wavy line. The vessel is made of Nile clay. The outer surface and the surface of the upper rim are smoothed, covered with a layer of engobe and polished. Only the remaining inner surface is smoothed. Vessel color - red. Vessel glued together from several fragments. Gaps filled with plaster. The surface of the vessel is eroded in places. Comparative material: ca. 2686–ca. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu, vessel, height 23.9 cm, diameter 16.9 cm rim, diameter 19.6 cm bottom, An object shaped like a tall hourglass with a flared rim and a wide base, made of a coarse, earthy material showing rough and smooth patches, in shades of reddish-brown and terracotta with darker brown and tan areas, sitting against a plain light gray background; the surface has irregular textures, small pits, and worn spots, and the rim curves outward while the central shaft tapers inward between the top and bottom flared sections.
