Beaker, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop; hand-made, asymmetrical miniature cup on a stem terminating in a flat, round foot. The cup's bulbous bowl is inclined inwards and terminates with a diagonally protruding, low rim. Clay vessel; miniature cup on stem. 1st half of the 3rd millennium BC; Early Jazira III period Early Dynastic III; ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin; discovered at Tell Jassa el Gharbi north-eastern Syria. Weight: 256 g., A weathered pottery vessel with a rounded body narrowing into a flared foot, shown against a plain gray background; the vessel surface appears rough and pitted with an uneven texture and small holes, exhibiting shades of tan, brown, beige, and hints of off-white residues; the rim is slightly irregular and the overall shape has an organic, aged appearance.
