Bowl, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop; Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; clay vessel; bowl/table vessel with flat oval bottom from which straight, slightly tilted walls rise in a short arc, terminating in a straight, not distinct rim; Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Al-Jazira Northern Mesopotamia, Khabur basin; found at Tell Jassa el Gharbi north-eastern Syria; height 7 cm, width 12.2 cm., A shallow, rounded container with a smooth, matte surface in pale beige and light tan tones, showing a few darker tan streaks and subtle grayish lines; the vessel has visible horizontal striations and a couple of thin, curved cracks with slightly darker edges; the background is a solid muted slate-gray.
