Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop. Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Clay table vessel with a small round flat bottom; walls tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. Pinkish burn mark visible on the lower part from contact with the bowl in which it was placed. Origin: Al-Jazira Khabur Basin, Northern Mesopotamia; found at Tell Jassa el Gharbi Northeastern Syria. Height 7.7 cm, width 12.3 cm, weight 170 g., A rounded ceramic bowl with a wide rim, showing visible hairline cracks and surface pits, in shades of beige, tan, light brown, and faint pink, set against a solid muted gray background.
