Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop. Bowl with a small round flat bottom. The bowl walls are tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. In the lower part of the bowl, a pinkish burn mark is visible, left by the bowl in which it was placed. Clay vessel, table vessel; vice-free vessel. Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Al-Jazira Northern Mesopotamia; Khabur Basin, Tell Jassa el Gharbi Northeastern Syria, ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Height 7.7 cm; width 12.3 cm; weight 170 g., A shallow rounded bowl viewed from the side against a gray background, showing a weathered surface with a gradient of beige to light brown and hints of pink, small dark speckles and pits across the surface, several visible hairline cracks and lines forming irregular patterns, and subtle horizontal striations and texture variations on the clay.
