Fragment of a bottle upper 3/4, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. The upper 3/4 of a vice-free bottle with a slender ovoid belly and a high neck terminating in a thickened, outwardly turned rim of triangular cross-section. Materials: clay; vessel. Origin/place of discovery: Tell Jassa el Gharbi north-eastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin. Dimensions: height 18 cm, width 16 cm., A rounded clay vessel with a wide flared rim sits against a plain gray background; the vessel shows a textured, weathered surface with visible cracks and repairs, and its colors range from pale beige to warm tan and muted brown, with some areas of slightly darker brown and faint reddish tones.
