Bowl, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop; metallic ware; viceless vessel; bowl; Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Early Dynastic III; Al-Jazira Syria/Iraq, Mesopotamia; metallic ware type bowl with a small flat bottom and straight, tilted walls ending in a straight, slightly thickened outwardly curled rim; ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Tell Abu Hafur northeastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin; vessel; height 7.5 cm, width 11.85 cm, bottom diameter 3.2 cm., A ceramic bowl shown against a gray background, with a rounded body and flared rim, displaying an overall earthy brown color with areas of darker brown and muted tan; the right side of the bowl shows horizontal striations and a slightly darker, weathered texture while the left side appears smoother and more uniformly brown; the rim has a thin darker band and the surface shows subtle irregularities, scratches, and patches of lighter and darker brown tones.
