Foot-shaped aryballos, Ionian workshop; aryballos, antique vessel; yellow-orange clay with mica; matte black engobe on the surface. Aryballos in the shape of a foot shod in a sandal with a thick sole connected to braided leather straps. The foot ends above the ankle and merges into a narrow neck terminating in an outward-turned rim, decorated from above with radiating lines. A wide, ribbon-like handle is attached vertically to the spout, on which there is an image of a rooster surrounded by dots. Preservation condition: the front part of the foot is filled with plaster. Dated end of the 6th–beginning of the 5th century BC. Ionia, Turkey/Greece., A sculpted object in the shape of a boot shown in profile on a neutral gray background, with a handle-like extension at the top near the ankle; the surface of the boot is textured with a pattern resembling scales or stitched segments and has an uneven, weathered appearance with visible cracks and roughness; the colors visible are tan, beige, brown, black, and gray; the toe is slightly upturned and the sole is accentuated, and a faint reflection of the boot appears on the surface beneath it.
