Askos, This ring-shaped askos incomplete, with visible restoration has a body tapering toward the top and a small neck terminating in a flared, profiled rim set diagonally to the upper edge. Dark banded decoration is painted on a light engobe: two wider bands on the upper part and bottom the lower band painted carelessly, fired unevenly and a delicate band with red varnish across the widest part. The varnish covers the rim, part of the neck, and the arched vice. Technology: purified clay with pyroxene admixtures; outer surface smooth, covered with engobe. Varnish matte, faded, in places burned red. Visible large losses, abrasions, scratches, and cracks. Height 9.5 cm; width 9.1 cm; weight 0.16 kg; diameter 3.1 cm., A rounded terracotta object with a central circular hole, showing a smooth matte surface in shades of light beige and warm tan, with a curved band of darker reddish-brown paint near the top that has areas of wear and flaking, a few patches of darker grayish spots and smudges on one side, and an even gray background.
