Vessel in the shape of a fantastic animal. The neck is long and thin, ending in a triangular, slightly flattened head. The eyes are marked with depressions; the ears are oblong and flat. Geometric decoration covers the entire surface. At its widest point, the body is surrounded by a band consisting of a zigzag band covered with a checkered pattern. From this band, herringbone stripes radiate at right angles at the front and back. Beneath these are wavy stripes of paint. A series of thin lines on the neck; a hole in the front under the neck. Terracotta vessel, Cyprus, 1900–1600 BC Late Bronze Age II. Height 10.7 cm; width 12.5 cm; depth 6.8 cm., A small rounded ceramic vessel with a short spout projecting from the top and three short pointed legs at the base, decorated with painted linear and wavy patterns; the surface shows earthy tones including beige, light tan, reddish-brown, and darker brown, with a central circular opening and striped markings on the spout and radiating hatch-like designs and wavy bands on the body, all set against a plain gray background.
