Scarab with a silhouette of a ruler on a throne. The scarab has on its base a representation of a royal figure sitting on a throne, with a scepter and a whip in its hands, possibly Osiris, and a second, smaller standing figure. ca. 1550–1295 BC; New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, Egypt. Scarab amulet; height 3.1 cm, width 2.2 cm., A small carved object shaped like a rounded scarab rests against a plain light gray background; the object has a weathered surface in shades of beige, tan, and light brown with darker brown spots and subtle greenish-gray areas, and it shows a few visible cracks and worn edges; the sides feature layered ridges and a few areas of darker discoloration, and the overall texture appears rough and aged.
