Ushabti, mummy-shaped funerary figurine standing on a base, supported at the back by a flat pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over left. Left hand holds a pickaxe, right hand a hoe and a twisted string with a basket slung over the left shoulder. Engraved tools. Wears a long, smooth, tripartite wig. Oval face with slightly blurred facial details; long, straight, slightly damaged beard. Not inscribed. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. From Tuna el-Gebel Hermopolis. Shabti; height 10.6 cm, width 3.2 cm., A slender vertical statuette in shades of blue and turquoise with areas of greenish and pale yellowish discoloration stands on a rectangular base that is sandy beige in color; the statuette has a rounded head and an elongated body with subtle raised contours suggesting facial profile and torso, and the base appears textured and slightly rough while the background is a flat neutral gray.
