Papyrus container in the form of the god Ptah-Sokar-Osiris, Atef crown with narrow feathers on a tripartite wig. Oval, wide face with a straight long nose, large mouth with fleshy lips, large ears, and a straight beard. Modeled arms folded on the chest holding two nechacha whips. Torso wrapped in a shroud. Large oval hole under the feet for inserting papyrus plugged. Fragment of an inscription on the back of the legs painted in black, yellow, and red on a white background. Type II E according to Raven, ca. 1295–ca. 945 BC; 19th–21st Dynasty, Egypt. Sculpture; materials: papyri/wood papyrus container. Dimensions: height 60 cm, width 13.5 cm, depth 14 cm; weight 1.736 kg., A tall carved wooden figure shown in profile against a pale gray background, the wood displaying a range of brown tones from light tan to deeper brown with some pale worn areas and darker spots; the figure has a rounded top and an elongated body with a carved head in profile, a prominent nose and chin, and simplified arms folded or held close to the torso; the surface shows textured carving marks, areas of wear and flaking where the lighter wood shows through, and subtle variations in brown and beige along the length.
