Cake baking mold. A vessel so-called flower pot for baking bread with a conical shape and a flat bottom. Shape irregular; straight, flaring spout; irregular bottom with a hole c. 6 cm diameter made before firing. Wheel-made from Nile clay of type NB2 Vienna System. Surface level; outer part near bottom and bottom finished with a knife or similar tool. Vessel color yellowish-red. Very well preserved. Rim diameter 22.3–25.2 cm; bottom diameter 10.2–11 cm; height 17.4 cm. c. 1550–1069 BC, New Kingdom, Deir el-Medina., A round, shallow object with a central irregular hole sits against a smooth background; the object displays a range of earthy terracotta and brown tones with subtle variations and darker spots, and the background is a solid cool gray.
