Leech fibula, brooch, goldsmithery. Leech fibula with a swollen ring made of gold plate, decorated with filigree rings with granulation in the center. No sheath. 6th century BC, Etruria. Jewelry, fibula. Height 1.7 cm, width 2.1 cm, depth 0.7 cm, weight 0.7 g., A crescent-shaped metallic object in gold tones rests on a neutral gray background, with a curved wire loop extending from one end and a long slender pin attached; the crescent surface has a textured, slightly irregular finish with a few raised rounded studs and several small circular settings, some of which hold pale, translucent elements, and there are tiny clustered bead-like decorations in gold tones around the rim.
