Medum type bowl, Medum type bowl with carination under the rim. Rim diameter smaller than the diameter of the shoulders. Rounded bottom. Straight, slightly flaring rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay, surface leveled. The bottom and lower part of the vessel finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. The surface of the vessel is covered with a layer of engobe . Vessel colour – red. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Ceramic Egyptian pottery vessel, clay vessel; height 9 cm, diameter 21.1 cm rim, diameter 21.5 cm shoulders., A reddish-brown clay bowl with a rounded body and a slightly flared rim sits against a neutral gray background; the bowl shows surface scratches and small chips along the rim, a few lighter speckles and patches of wear on the exterior, and subtle variations in the reddish-brown color ranging to darker and lighter tones.
