Vessel, Egyptian pottery, ceramics, clay vessel; conical-shaped vessel, widest at approximately 3/4 of its height. Quite wide, almost horizontal shoulders slightly sloping. Wide, short, funnel-shaped neck widening towards the spout. Wide spout, flat in the upper part, slightly rounded at the bottom, slightly asymmetrical. Flat, asymmetrical bottom. Surface leveled; lower part finished to approximately 2/3 of its height with a knife or similar tool. Outer surface and inner surface of rim and neck covered with a layer of dark red engobe. Vessel color dark red. Vessel complete; surface eroded in many places, numerous clay chips on the rim. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC; provenance Edfu.
