Amulet - weight of the menit necklace of the priest Achpet, menit, Achpet ca. 664–404 BC, hieroglyphs, priests, necklace weight with a column of hieroglyphic inscription through the center, 664–332 BC; Late Period, Egypt, amulet, height 8.7 cm, width 3.5 cm, An elongated, flattened object with a rounded lower end and a narrower rectangular upper section, shown against a plain pale gray background; the surface is a mottled green with areas of lighter and darker green and small patches of brownish discoloration and pitting; a central vertical recessed panel runs the length of the piece, bordered by shallow grooves, and contains a series of raised shapes and shallow incisions; the top has a short, ribbed projection with vertical grooves and the edges are slightly worn and uneven, revealing some rougher brownish areas.
