Idol with a full-bodied female head, Standing female figure with a torso flattened on both sides, a plastically developed head slightly tilted forward. Dressed in a long robe, highlighted only by geometric, polychrome patterns. The face is plastically modeled and slim: long, narrow nose; large, straight mouth with lips slightly parted in a smile; sharp chin; slim cheeks with prominent cheekbones; large, convex, almond-shaped eyeballs; broad eyebrow arch; high forehead. Hair arranged symmetrically, parted in the middle, slightly crimped a kind of swallowtail, long hair falling over the shoulders. Slightly defined, wide neck. Hands represented by wide projections extending to the sides, ends slightly curved forward. Dress flared at the bottom, forming a kind of base for the figurine. Traces of white and red polychrome visible throughout; robe shows barely visible geometric patterns—braids and checks. c. 550 BC mid-6th century BC. Boeotia. Sculpture. Height 22.6 cm; width 10 cm; depth 5.1 cm; weight 0.39 kg., A tall slender sculptural object standing upright against a plain gray background, resembling a long vertical form with a rounded base and a stylized head at the top. The surface shows an uneven, weathered texture with areas of smooth and rough patches. The head has a subtle profile with a nose and chin visible in profile and an indication of hair or head covering along the top. The midsection narrows slightly and shows a small protrusion on one side suggesting a shoulder or arm stump. The base flares outward into a rounded, slightly irregular foot that rests on the surface. The colors visible are muted beige and tan tones across most of the object, with traces of pale white and faint reddish accents along parts of the shaft and base. The background is a uniform medium gray and the lighting creates soft shadows beneath and to one side of the object.
