Votive female head, Female head wearing a wreath, from under which lush locks of hair curl down the sides of the face to the neck. High forehead, large eyes, deep-set in relation to the nose, slightly convex with developed eyelids and eyeballs, with marked pupils. Small, straight nose; narrow, slightly parted mouth with fleshy lips. Strong, slightly projecting chin; slim cheeks giving the face a triangular outline. 3rd–2nd century BC, Etruria; votive. Height 26 cm, width 21 cm, depth 13 cm, weight 2 kg., A close-up view of a hollow, rounded object made of rough clay with a matte surface, shown against a plain gray background; the clay displays shades of brown, tan, beige, and some dusty ochre, with darker brown in the deep interior and small areas of grayish discoloration on the outer rim; the object has an irregular oval opening leading into a shadowed cavity and shows textured, slightly pitted edges and subtle tool or hand-formed marks.
