Terracotta figurine of an actor, Terracotta; Hellenistic period, 332–30 BC, Greece. Sculpture, height 18.2 cm. Figurine of an actor sitting on a pedestal. The head is turned to the right. The legs are crossed at the ankles. The man wears a loincloth and a cloak covering the left side of the body. The left arm is bent at the elbow, the hand rests on the right cheek. The right hand holds the cloak on the left shoulder. The face is covered by a caricatured mask with a beard. Preservation: fragmentary — part of the cheek, left hand, and left calf is imprinted., A weathered statue of a seated figure on a block-like base, with a draped garment over the shoulders and back, showing worn facial features and a hand raised toward the face; the surface shows rough, chipped textures and areas of erosion. The colors visible are gray, beige, tan, brown, and patches of yellow.
