Vessel in the form of a pomegranate, 6th century BC, eastern Greece; terracotta vessel, height 7.5 cm, width 6.7 cm, depth 6.4 cm, weight 0.084 kg., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow, slightly raised neck and a small round opening, showing a worn painted surface in beige, cream, black, and hints of reddish-brown; the upper portion features a band of black geometric and linear painted marks interspersed with areas of missing pigment, while the lower body is more uniformly beige with patches of darker soil-like discoloration; the rim and neck display concentrated black paint and weathered texture, and the overall surface shows cracks, chips, and a matte, aged finish against a neutral gray background.
