Heart scarab, Pectoral scarab with nine lines of hieroglyphic text containing Chapter 30B of the Book of the Dead; the chapter begins directly without the name of the owner. The scarab is fitted with a pendant, and the base is surrounded by a frame imitating a rope. ca. 1550–1295 BC; New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, found at Antinoe. Scarab amulet; height 6 cm, width 4 cm, depth 2.2 cm., An oval, vertically oriented dark object with a rounded top and a small ridged projection at its upper edge, showing carved horizontal bands filled with repeated incised shapes; the surface is predominantly black with visible areas of brownish wear and a few greenish spots, and the background is a smooth neutral gray.
