Both arms bent — right hand placed in front on the breasts, left behind on the back. Probably the figure of a masked dancer. Condition: base stamped, head glued. 3rd century BC, Tanagra Greece. Sculpture; height 15.9 cm, width 4.8 cm., A standing statue of a robed figure rendered in a brownish material against a plain gray background, showing draped clothing with a hooded head and covered face, visible folds and pleats in the garment, a posture with one arm bent behind the back creating a gathers at the waist, textured surface with worn and slightly uneven areas, and subtle variations of brown and tan tones contrasted with the neutral gray backdrop.
