Votive offering in the form of a phallus, votive offering, phalluses, 332–30 BC, Hellenistic period; Etruria, Caere; height 6 cm, width 15 cm, depth 6 cm, length 15.3 cm, weight 0.21 kg., A horizontal, elongated object resembling a worn vessel lies against a plain gray background; the object has a rounded narrow end with a small hollow and a wider, slightly irregular opposite end with a rough, textured rim. The surface is predominantly a light beige or tan color with scattered darker brown and gray speckles, scratch-like markings, and patches of darker brown near the wider end. Shadows beneath the object create a subtle darker gray outline on the background.
