Type A oil lamp according to Kubiak's typology of Fustat 9th–11th century; similar lamps have been found in Umayyad contexts late 7th–8th century. 2nd half 7th–8th century, Syro-Palestine; oil lamp; height 3.3 cm, width 11.0 cm, depth 9.8 cm., A weathered round object with a raised central cone sits on a reflective surface, showing a mirrored underside; the object has an irregular textured surface with rough edges and carved or eroded shallow depressions, and its colors include beige, tan, brown, gray, and off-white.
