Amulet in the shape of a lion lying on a flat base, with paws stretched forward, head facing straight ahead, and a loop for hanging on its back. The ribs and mane are schematically marked with diagonal engraved lines. Amulet lion, Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Height 2.6 cm; width 5.2 cm., A small sculpted figure of a reclining animal on a rectangular base, shown in profile facing left, with a rounded body, visible head, front paw resting on the base, and a raised hind area; the surface shows a smooth, worn texture with a few rough spots and pitting, and there is a hole through the upper midsection of the figure; the visible colors are pale green, light brown, tan, and small areas of darker brown and faint reddish tones.
