The flat handle, attached perpendicularly, ends in a hooked bend in the shape of a goose's head. Engraved inscription on the inside. 5th century BC, Greece. Greek inscriptions; Zeus myth.., An aged metal ladle with a long, slightly curved handle ending in a hooked top sits against a plain gray background; the bowl is shallow and round with uneven, dented edges and a patina showing green, dark brown, and black tones, while the handle shows worn dark metallic colors with hints of greenish corrosion and small lighter spots where the surface is abraded.
