Medum-type bowl, ceramics; Egyptian pottery vessel clay, Medum-type bowl with hemispherical shape. Walls bend gently around about 2/3 of the vessel height. Straight rim, perpendicular to the shoulders, slightly irregular. Rounded bottom. Even surface. Red color. Reconstructed from several glued fragments. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu. Vessel; height 5.5 cm; diameter 12.6 cm rim, 13.5 cm shoulders., A round, shallow bowl viewed from above with a worn, coarse surface in shades of reddish-brown and terracotta, showing patches of darker brown and grayish discoloration and a few lighter, pale spots; the rim is slightly raised and shows scuffs and rough edges in muted tan and off-white tones, and the interior has small scratches and irregular marks with subtle variations of red, brown, and gray throughout, set against a plain light gray background.
