Medum-type bowl, Ceramics; Egyptian pottery; clay vessel. Bowl with a hemispherical shape: walls bend gently around about 2/3 of the height, straight rim perpendicular to the shoulders slightly irregular, rounded bottom. Surface even; vessel color red. Vessel glued together from several fragments. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu. Vessel; height 5.5 cm, rim diameter 12.6 cm, shoulder diameter 13.5 cm., A large rounded clay bowl with a worn rim sits against a plain light gray background, showing an overall reddish-brown surface with patches of darker brown and small grayish specks, rough texture, visible scuffs and small pitted marks, and a subtle raised band near the rim.
