Sarcophagus lid, The deceased is depicted in a semi-reclining position, resting his left forearm on a pillow and holding a laurel wreath in his right hand. He wears a short-sleeved tunic and a cloak which, when thrown over the head, reveals the torso and left arm from shoulder to elbow; the right foot is visible from under the cloak. The human figure has very elongated proportions, with notably long legs in disproportion to the torso. 2nd half of the 2nd century BC, Etruria. Sarcophagus; height 71 cm, width 203 cm, depth 48 cm, weight 108 kg., A carved reclining figure rendered in beige and light brown tones rests on a rectangular base of similar color, wearing draped garments with visible folds and cracks; the figure's head is turned slightly with short carved hair and a rounded head covering, the facial features are softly modeled with eyes, nose, and lips, and one arm is bent to hold a circular laurel-like wreath while the other arm rests along the base, with the surface showing aged patina and areas of darker brown shading and subtle gray in the background.
